Abstract

This paper does not attempt to provide a comprehensive overview of the Ca2+ antagonists, or of their use in the management of ischemic heart disease, since detailed reviews are already available (1–4). Instead the paper describes the results of some experiments we have recently undertaken to further explore the protection these drugs provide for the ischemic and reperfused hearts.
