Abstract

VUV photoemission spectra (Fig. 1) of the valence bands of the high-Tc superconductor(1) YBa2Cu3O9−δ δ=2.1, have been measured using the UV undulator (beam line U5U). Photon erergies h v = 45.0 eV and 52.0 eV lie within the first harmonic flux output from the undulator, while h v = 105.0 lies within the second harmonic. The spectra at h v = 21.2 eV and 40.8 were taken using a He resonance lamp.
