Cigarette Habituation in Nonhuman Primates

Abstract

Using operant conditioning techniques to establish and control the behavior, baboons can be trained to actively puff on cigarettes in a human-like manner. A pilot experiment was conducted to determine if baboons would become habituated to cigarette smoke.
