Abstract

This is the second NATO Advanced Study Institute on Physics of Strong Fields. In summer 1981 we gathered at Lahnstein/Germany and discussed the exciting developments in Quantum Electrodynamics of Strong Fields. The latter is still the principal topic of this meeting, but it is also supplemented with strong field aspects in other areas, like strong quark-gluon-fields, strong gravitational fields, the various aspects of the vacuum as a physical object (its structure, Casimir effect etc.).
