Abstract
The study of time-dependent processes adds a new dimension to NMR. It can reveal the courses and rates of chemical reactions, both directly and via the effect of such reactions on line shape. More subtly, it can yield a wealth of detail concerning the rates of energy transfer between spin quantum states, and also of precessional dephasing within one state.
