Abstract
Let’s take a few moments to talk about what we’re doing in modeling and simulation at Fort Sill. I work for the Army Research Laboratory at the US army Field Artillery School. I support both the Field Artillery School and the Depth and Simultaneous Attack Battle Lab. The Battle Lab was established at Fort Sill in 1992. Simulations are being used by the Battle Lab to conduct experimentation. A lot of effort has gone into the development of advanced simulation tools to support that experimentation. I am very involved in the use of simulations for both experimentation and training. I manage the Janus Battle Simulation Center for the Battle Lab. Our primary mission is training. Training students in both the Officer Advanced Course and the Officer Basic Course. I will talk in depth about our training activities. I am also involved heavily in the use of distributed interactive simulations. I will talk about that work also.
