Abstract
One would hope, after many years of data gathering and planning, that a fisheries management program could be put into effect without a fight or receiving undeserved abusive remarks and threats. The following comments taken from a 1981 paper by S. Wright of the Washington Department of Fisheries are a good example of what fishery managers must cope with.
