Abstract
In my later years, I felt more and more compelled to illustrate the power of “Mind over Matter,” i.e., the intellectual content of Experimental Physics, by describing in some detail certain experiments whose conceptions involve a particularly high degree of ingenuity. I can think of no better examples than those provided by the direct determinations of the helicities of the three neutrinos, i.e., of ve, vμ and vτ, and I hope that this topic may be appropriate for an International Conference on the History of Original Ideas.
