Abstract
After the first cases of allogeneic transplantation of G-CSF-primed peripheral blood prognitor cells (PBPC) had been reported a few years ago [1,2] the use of mobilized PBPC instead of BM as source of allogeneic stem cells has rapidly expanded [3]. The present article will elucidate the potential benefits and limitations of allogeneic PBPC with particular focus on collection and cellular composition of PBPC grafts obtained from healthy donors.
