An On-Line Diagnostic Expert System
Expert System technology has become the dominant force behind Artificial Intelligence. Expert Systems have mushroomed in many application areas in an attempt to solve information problems that have thus far resisted computer-based solutions for various reasons. Almost every Expert System article begins by stating the differences between “modern” Expert Systems and conventional programs: The major difference being that Expert Systems provide for the separation of data (Knowledge) from procedure (Inference) [l].
