Abstract

Headaches, one of the most frequent human discomforts, very commonly affect children. By 7 years of age, more than one-third of all children have experienced headaches and by 15 years of age, headaches have occurred in 75%. Headaches have many causes. This review will focus on several of the more important types, with particular emphasis on one of the most frequent varieties of childhood headache, and surely the most complex, childhood migraine.
