Abstract

It has been estimated that approximately 15% of all school-age children in the U.S. are learning disabled (LD), despite average or better than average intelligence. Children with poor academic performance represent a significant diagnostic/management challenge for pediatric health care providers. This report will focus on the pediatric neurologist’s perspectives of learning disabilities.
