Interaction Field Theory for Type IIB Superstrings
The light-cone gauge formulation is quite advantageous for the construction of interactions. The generator p- is the Hamiltonian and we can simply ask if we can add interaction terms to it and still keep an algebra that closes. It turns out that all generators that transform the system out of the quantization plane, x+ = const, will have to contain interaction terms. These generators are called Hamiltonians or dynamical generators (in contrast to the linearly realized generators, which are called kinematical generators) in the notation of Dirac .
