Abstract

The prospect for string theory as a fundamental unique theory of Nature is quite bright. As we have seen, it seemingly solves the quantum gravity problem, the gauge group is selected, and the number of possible, theoretically consistent models is limited. At this stage we have five models which seem consistent. In the best of all worlds only one of these models should be fully consistent.
