Investigation Of Metabolic Disorders in Patients and Animal Models Using Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

  • Chapter
Cell Function and Disease

Abstract

This chapter will review the current status of in Vivo Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS), with emphasis on the clinical applications of MRS. The results of MRS studies of muscle function, tumor metabolism, and other applications will be discussed. Techniques for obtaining MR signals from selected volumes of tissue and/or selected metabolites will be described.
