Abstract
Results are reported for a new concept in line focus acoustic microscopy. We use a wedge shaped lithium niobate transducer as the source for a standard cylindrical lens. The resonant frequency varies with position down the axis so that the frequency can be used to spa tiallv vary the focal point position along the focal line.
