Energy Dependent Corrections to Spin Observables in Nucleon-Nucleus Scattering

  • J. Piekarewicz

Several speakers at this conference have shown that spin observables can uncover subtle effects that are otherwise hidden in the study of unpolarized phenomena. In this contribution results will be presented that show important modifications to spin observables once the explicit energy dependence of the effective nucleon-nucleon (NN) interaction is taken into account. The main ideas used will be illustrated by concentrating on a very simple, nevertheless non trivial, example, the \({{0}^{ + }}(\vec{p},\vec{p}\prime ){{0}^{ - }}\) reaction.
