Investigation of the Microscopic Mechanism of the High Strength of Amorphous Alloys

From the viewpoint of statistical thermodynamics and by means of the “model of double-layer structural units (MDLSU)” proposed by the author recently, we investigated the specific process of formation and the mech­anism of structure defects of amorphous alloys formed by melt quenching, and reasonably explain the microscopic mechanism whereby amorphous alloys possess high strength.
