Susceptibility of Chlamydiae to Different Antimicrobials

Chlamydiae are susceptible to a number of antibiotics (Table 18). Considered particularly useful are certain drugs that interfere with chlamydial protein synthesis, e.g., tetracyclines and erythromycin.
