Very Neutron-Rich Very Light Nuclei

  • Chapter

Abstract

The present review deals with very light neutron-rich nuclei. Light nuclei have always attracted attention due to their varied properties. If structural characteristics of medium and heavy nuclei change rather smoothly while undergoing only isolated jumps, the structure of light nuclei is clearly individual in its character: two neighboring light nuclei are often very much unlike one another. This makes their study very interesting, on the one hand, but on the other hand, it is difficult to reveal general tendencies.
