Abstract

The dietary treatment of patients with chronic renal failure has many components. These include appropriate protein intake, sufficient adequate calories, and vitamins and trace element supplements (1). The clinical importance of the adequate dietary management of uremic patients is evident since uremia is characterized by a state of wasting and malnutrition (2–7).
