Abstract
The Hamilton Scales for the rating of clinical anxiety and depression are well established instruments for psychiatric research, and have been used in numerous studies, mainly in the field of psychopharmacology. Within the International Study, the scales are one of the constituents of the psychiatric part of the investigation, in conjunction with the HRPD [1] and a psychosocial interview.
