Abstract

In this work, a 3LY0.8/194 type single — stage Stirling cryocooler made in Hangzhou, China, has been comprehensive studied for increasing refrigeration capacity as major purpose. The performance of this plant has been measured under different conditions, such as different structures of cryocooler, different experimental surrounding conditions and different operating regimes as well. The comparison of experimental results and theoretical data of thermodynamic calculation with isothermal and adiabatic cylinder model has been carried out. The influence of main factors for the performance of this cryocooler has been found and some proposal of improvement has been provided. The conclusion will be suitable for other similar cryocoolers.
