Abstract

The Ministry of Education has started a project of constructing a new superconducting fusion reactor as the main experimental apparatus of an Inter-university National Institute for Fusion Science which is established in May 1989. We are trying to evaluate the technological feasibility of the cooling method of the new superconducting coil from the stand point of economy, reliability, and operation.
