Abstract
The aging process and age-related changes have been linked to the production of free radicals during normal metabolism (Harman, 1981). α-Tocopherol (AT), the fat-soluble vitamin E, a constituent of biomembranes, plays an important role as a chain-breaking antioxidant in protecting biological molecules against oxidative damage (McCay and King, 1980; Burton and Ingold, 1986).
