Part of the book series: Environmental Science Research ((ESRH,volume 51))

Abstract

Ion exchange treatment of gases can be, in principle, as vast of a field for application of ion exchangers as liquid ion exchange technologies. Investigation of ion exchangers as sorbents from gaseous media began in the fifties, when the first patents, papers and monographs appeared[1–6]. Since then this research has developed in a number of countries, especially in USSR, Japan, Germany, USA and Poland[7–11].
