Abstract
There is little question that today a serious erosion has taken place in Western culture’s faith or belief in the existence of either a theistic or deistic creator in his or her universe. Just what have been the major causes of this decline in the belief of a warm, guiding, protective, prayer-amenable deity are debatable. But there is little question that scientific inventions have played a significant role in this widespread decline in religious belief. Scientists insist that no agency can change the immutable play and interplay of chemical and physical reactions. Thus, there can be no miracles in our universe, and stripped of its miracles, Western religions lose their plinths of belief.
