Abstract
We shall first describe the specific psychopathological characteristics that comprise this disorder and then describe the resultant neurological, hormonal, and metabolic dysfunctions observed in this syndrome. The possible pathological effects of the disorder on the structure of coronary plaques also will be discussed.
