Abstract
The Greater Cleveland Coalition on Health Care Cost Effectiveness is an example of an effort initiated by industry to deal with health care issues at the local level. You’ll notice that is name includes the term cost effectiveness, not cost containment. We use the latter because it includes a quality improvement connotation as well. I would like to describe how this broad-based group was begun and what it plans to accomplish.
