Abstract
The karyotype of Marmosa is very similar to that of Caluromys (Folio 101). The karyotypes presented here are gifts of Dr. Osvaldo Reig, who collected the animals, belonging to subspecies M. r. robinsoni Bangs, from Calabozo, Estado Guarico, Venezuela., Voucher specimen numbers are A371(♂) and A395 (♀) of Instituto de Zoología Tropical, Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela. Corneal epithelium was used for cytological preparations.
