The autosomes can be divided into the following groups: 4 pairs of large metacentrics, 3 pairs of large submetacentrics, 3 pairs of submetacentrics with highly unequal arms, 4 pairs of small metacentrics, 3 pairs of small submetacentrics (or subtelocentrics), one pair of submetacentrics with satellites, and one pair of acrocentrics.
