Motion in Two Dimensions — Airwing of Infinite Span
If all quantities are independent of z, and w = 0 so that the motion is parallel to the xy-plane, we say that it is a plane motion or two dimensional. In such a case we may envisage a volume of fluid of unit thickness moving parallel to the xy-plane.
