Abstract

Retrospective studies to date suggest that EC- IC bypass has a definite role in preventing progression to severe completed stroke in patients with transient ischemic attacks, prolonged reversible ischemic deficits, and some cases of mild completed strokes.1,2,3 A prospective random study is in progress to analyze this role further.
