Abstract
In patients with nonspecific bronchopneumonias due to viral diseases such as influenza and measles or to mycoplasmal and rickettsial diseases, both hila are enlarged and frequently have indistinct borders. The perihilar markings are increased and consist of streaky densities extending outward, with peribronchial and interstitial infiltrates. Unilateral hilar reactions are seen with unilateral pulmonary lesions (pneumonia, abscess).
