Abstract
The patient and the urologic surgeon are fortunate indeed if the subject requiring ureteral surgery has no abnormalities other than that for which surgery is necessary. All too often there are other illnesses, acute or chronic, overt or latent, totally independent of the lesion under consideration. In addition, one may have to deal medically with complications directly the result of the pathology under immediate consideration.
