Micro-Sequence Analysis of Ovine Hypothalamic Corticotropin Releasing Factor

In 1955, first direct evidence was provided for a hypothalamic corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) that stimulated corticotropin secretion from the pituitary (1,2). Since then several groups attempted to purify and characterize this factor (see 3 for review).
