Abstract
One of the most frequently made statements about outstanding personalities in the development of scientific ideas is the assertion that their contemporaries were not able to appreciate their ideas. To subsequent generations, however, is somehow granted a deeper insight after the initial shock has been absorbed during the intervening years.
