Abstract

Dermatologists have a specific nomenclature to describe clinical lesions. Since these descriptions often have a direct pathologic correlation, the pathologist must reacquaint him- or herself with these terms, while the dermatologist can skip to the next chapter. This material is taken directly from Fundamentals of Dermatology, by Theodor Nasemann, Wolfhard Sauerbrey, and Walter H. C. Burgdorf, New York, Springer-Verlag, 1983, pp. 15–19.
