The knowledge that manipulation of the external stimulus world can have a measurable impact on the structure and neurochemistry of the brain and upon functionally important aspects of the behavior of mammals has opened the door to a broad variety of therapeutic and preventive applications. Examples of some of the possible applications that have been attempted are reviewed in this chapter.
