Abstract
Copper (II) (3, 5-diisopropylsali cylate)2 (Cu-DIPS), administered to mice 3 hr prior to exposure to 8.0 Gy irradiation, increased the 42 day survival rate from 40% to 85%. Treatment with Cu-DIPS significantly accelerated spleen repopulation and the recovery of immune responsiveness following irradiation.2 In the present study the effects of Cu-DIPS on the recovery of hematopoietic activity in bone marrow and spleen following irradiation were investigated.
