Evaluation of Principal Value Integrals

In the chapters to come we discuss some singular integral equations that involve Cauchy principal value integrals. The solution of such an equation usually can be expressed in the form of another principal value integral, but a solution in this form is not very useful unless the integral can be evaluated.
