Abstract
The climacteric is a period during which women experience many new symptoms. One of the most important clinically is a modification in the pattern of menses. In this chapter, we focus on peri- and postmenopausal abnormal bleeding. Definitions are given and physiopathology, differential diagnosis, investigation, and treatment are discussed. A brief review of the potency of the different progestogens is also provided.
