Abstract
Person fit in discussed from the perspective of testing whether or not an individual’s test behavior is consistent with the Rasch model. A general method is considered for deriving person fit indices and person fit tests that are powerful for testing against a prespecified type of deviation from the Rasch model. Power analyses are performed, and previous approaches are subsumed under the general framework where possible.
