Abstract

Pancreatic operations are often associated with technical difficulties due to the anatomy of the pancreas and its blood supply.1 Clinical operations are time-consuming and blood loss can be considerable.2 Blood vessels are commonly li-gated and pancreatic tissue incised either with a scalpel or electrocautery.3 There are only a few reports on the tissue effects of the various lasers on the pancreas.2,3
