Abstract
The Working Party has several times discussed the desirability of graphics within GLIM. That these are still not provided as part of the standard system is due to two factors; the lack of agreement within GLIM users on the strictly necessary facilities and a user interface for describing these, and the lack of standards within the computing industry for the facilities and software control of graphics devices.
