Abstract

The original focus of my chapter was on programs available to minority cancer patients at the leading cancer treatment institutions. In calls to some of my colleagues affiliated with these cancer centers, I learned that not one of these treatment facilities, including The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, has a program specifically designed to assist the center’s minority patients. Their services do, however, provide for the special needs of minority patients.
