Abstract

The Southern blot component of the Workshop primarily focused on the core Workshop cell lines. Ancillary subcomponents included the analysis of families for haplotype studies, case-control studies for selected HLA- associated diseases, recombinant families and studies of rare haplotypes. Computer programs were provided for data entry by each participating laboratory.
