Abstract

We repeatedly encounter the problem of replacing a parameter α by an estimator in expressions like \(n^{-1/2}\Sigma_{1}^{n}f(x_{\nu},\alpha)\textup{or} \ n^{-1}\Sigma_{1}^{n}f(x_{\nu},\alpha)\). The following lemmas provide some technical tools for this purpose.
