Abstract
Prolog allows concepts to be expressed at a relatively high level of abstraction compared with the usual programming languages. The syntax is simple and a lot of freedom is given to the programmer. Prolog programs are often shorter than their procedural equivalents. The high abstract level of Prolog permits the development of applications in a relatively short time.
