Abstract

In this chapter we will consider some of the medical factors that may be significant for assessing any health risks caused by an employee’s exposure to specific hazards used in biomedical research. We will also examine certain medical conditions that predispose an individual to additional risk if he or she is engaged in research involving biohazardous agents.
